Konstantin Dreyer on the Radial podcast
From Austrian industrial engineer to technical field sales, a Viennese strategy boutique and his own investment model – Konstantin’s path has been anything but linear. With an entrepreneur father who acquired a hidden champion in the early 1990s and took it public, succession was on the agenda early on – but Konstantin had to build his own stage: three deals in one year, alongside his MBA.

Konstantin Dreyer on the viaductus podcast
In this episode of the viaductus podcast, the host talks to Konstantin Dreyer of Dreyer Capital, the Salzburg-based family office. Konstantin offers a rare insight into the thinking of an entrepreneurial family office – beyond glossy pitch decks and fund logic. When are companies really bought – or sold again? What is the true motivation behind an investment? And what does a long-term owner actually “buy into”?
The conversation goes well beyond theory: Konstantin even travelled to a war zone for a site visit to see the situation for himself.
Dreyer acquires BAFATEX
Dreyer Capital GmbH has acquired BAFATEX Bellingroth GmbH & Co. KG together with its operating real estate. The aim is to develop the long-established family business strategically and expand its leading position in diagonally laid scrims. Konstantin Dreyer sees great potential to lead BAFATEX into its next phase of growth on its strong foundations. Together with the new Managing Director, Christoph Schroeder, the company will be developed consistently and its market opportunities realised.
Dreyer acquires SpenglerTools
2025 has been a year of growth for Dreyer Capital. Following two successful investments earlier in the year, Dreyer Capital has made its third: the acquisition of SpenglerTools, a leading online supplier of specialist tools and equipment for sheet-metal workers and roofers.
With a highly scalable platform, short delivery times and a strong position in an attractive niche market, SpenglerTools is an ideal base for further growth – and an important step in Dreyer’s buy-and-build strategy.
Together with Patrick Wallinger and the experienced team, Dreyer will build on the company’s strong foundations and realise its full potential.
Dreyer acquires Babauba
Dreyer Capital GmbH has acquired the Austrian children’s fashion brand Babauba in an asset deal. The aim is a strategic rebuild that restores the brand to its former strength and enables further growth. Konstantin Dreyer sees great potential to re-establish Babauba in the market and to develop it consistently with the new Managing Director, Patrick Wallinger. The brand has an exceptionally large and loyal community – a solid basis for the planned growth.
